I love variety. Directing Let’s Murder The Moonshine gave me the chance to explore a level of expressive and synthesized design that I had always wanted to push. The Futurists produced sintesi, boiled-down works with strong visual storytelling that said as much as possible in as little time as possible. These pieces, and a low budget, gave my production team and I the opportunity to play with unorthodox approaches to create dynamic stage pictures. I came into this process as a designer-director with clear and open ideas about what I wanted to build with my lighting, costume, and sound designers.
